Dr Lili Loan Vu, a research fellow at Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre, has been awarded Best Paper in the Early Career Researcher category at the Curtin Business School of Accounting, Economics and Finance colloquium on 28 October.

Titled Agricultural production diversity and child nutritional outcomes in rural Myanmar, Lili’s paper investigates the links between agricultural diversity and child nutritional status in rural Myanmar, finding that child nutritional status worsened between 2016 and 2017. The paper also found that home garden ownership was statistically significant and positively associated with younger children’s anthropometric outcomes.

Lili joined the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre in 2021 after finishing her PhD at the University of Western Australia.

Congratulations Lili on this exiciting achievement!
