BCEC researchers have focussed a great deal of their academic work in examining social and economic issues affecting the labour market and workforce in Australia.
This submission brings together a new body of evidence based on recent research released in BCEC’s Focus on The States, Future of Work in Australia: Preparing for tomorrow’s world report.
We have also made succinct policy recommendations that we believe would improve the future job security of Australians, including ways to mitigate any potentially negative impacts of technological change on Australia’s workforce. We look forward to the opportunity to discuss these further with the Committee at any point before the final report is handed down.
