The Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre invites you to the launch of our new report, Youth in Focus, on Thursday 13 March.

On paper, today’s young Australians are the wealthiest and most highly educated generation in our history.

But are they the happiest? How do they feel about their lives, the state of the world around them, and their prospects for the future?

Drawing on insights from the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre Youth Forum and other sources, this new Focus on the States report examines the issues that young Australians identify as the most important to them, including the rising cost of living, education pathways and the future of work, climate change, the growing influence of social media, and concerns around inequality, racism, and discrimination.

The report assesses young people’s trust in the political process and explores the degree to which their worldview aligns with current political priorities.

By providing evidence-based insights, this report aims to inform policies that address the concerns of young Australians and support their ability to thrive. The findings underscore the need for a healthier, more equitable future that prioritises the wellbeing and potential of Australia’s youth.
