WhereThe Westin Perth, Grand Ballroom, 480 Hay Street, Perth
WhenFriday 30 August, 2019 - 7.15am for a 7.30am start until 9.00am

The Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre (BCEC) is undertaking a targeted research program identifying future opportunities for diversifying the West Australian economy. This research program will culminate in the release of an accessible report at a high profile launch event.

This Focus on Industry report will profile each of WA’s regions to identify current industry specialisations and regional advantages. The report will identify suitable industries as potential opportunities to develop, based on new indicators of feasibility and potential for income growth.

The report will explore these opportunities in depth by examining industry trends, new technologies and local resources. Through a detailed understanding of these unique characteristics, the report will consider the potential for Western Australia to implement a smart specialisation policy to support the State’s industrial diversification and regional development strategies.

Join us for breakfast with our esteemed panel, Kitty Prodonovich, Chief Executive Officer, Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry WA; Bonnie Lin, Managing Director, B2 RAINMAKERS and Ralph Addis, Director General, Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, in a facilitated discussion with Jessica Strutt, Journalist and Presenter, ABC Radio Perth.
