Welcome to our first tri-annual BCEC Newsletter edition. This has been an exceptionally active period for the Centre and we have a lot to share with you.

A recent highlight for the Centre was BCEC winning the Ashley Goldsworthy Award for Sustained Collaboration between Business and Tertiary Education at the B/HERT awards in Melbourne. We are tremendously proud that the Centre’s achievements and our strong partnership with Bankwest have been recognised through such a prestigious national award.

The Centre saw three very successful report launches in this last period on important issues for our State including WA’s potential in Agriculture and Agribusiness; WA’s prospects within the international education sector and WA’s economic future after the boom. These research programs have brought key stakeholders to the table grounded in a new evidencebase, and we hope will result in continued conversations and policy formation that will deliver wide-reaching benefits for West Australians.
