Chris Phelps awarded 2021 Peter Barrington Gold Medal Award
Dr Chris Phelps, a Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre PhD scholar, has been awarded the 2021 Peter Barrington Gold Medal Award by the Australian Property Research and Research Fund.
Chris received the prestigious award for his thesis, Essays Connecting Australian Dwelling Price Growth and Subjective Wellbeing to Within-City Income and Wealth Differentials, which was conferred in 2021.
Chris’s thesis is made up of three independent research essays that address knowledge gaps in the Australian literature surrounding the response of housing prices and individual wellbeing to residential segregation within Australian cities.
Established in 1985, the Peter Barrington Award is designed to encourage research excellence in the study of land economy.
