BCEC professional team members take out Faculty prize

The Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre (BCEC) professional team have won the 2022 Excellence in Professional Services award at the Curtin University Faculty of Business and Law Staff Awards.

Helen Farmiloe, Joanna Holcombe and Caroline Stewart received the recognition for their combined efforts, that in 2022 saw them deliver on a number of highly successful new initiatives for the Centre, alongside maintaining their high standard of regular work.

BCEC Business Manager, Caroline Stewart, said the award reflected the hard work and dedication of the team.

“The BCEC professional team is an essential part of the Centre’s achievements and success, and this is a fantastic recognition of the amazing work that we do,” Caroline Stewart said, Business Manager of BCEC.

“Our team is extremely hardworking, highly collaborative, and always go the extra mile to deliver the best possible outcomes for the Centre and Curtin University.

“I am so proud of the team, and am honoured to work with them to help deliver the Centre’s critical work.”

In 2022, the professional team oversaw the Centre’s operations, events calendar and impact and engagement activities.

These included three marquee report launch events, two partnered research launch events, an executive education program, a policy roundtable, the Centre’s 10th anniversary celebration, 71 staff speaking engagements (including 19 keynotes), 1,400 media mentions, 260 stakeholder engagements and 75 electronic dedicated mail campaigns.
