Biography
Panos is a Research Fellow at the Bankwest Economics Centre at Curtin University. He completed his PhD in Economics at Deakin University. Prior to that, Panos obtained a M.Sc. in Applied Economics and Data Analysis and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Patras, Greece.
Panos’s research interests are directed towards labour economics, education economics, health and well-being, public policy, and applied microeconomics. He has published articles in leading academic journals including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Social Science & Medicine, and Journal of Business Venturing.
Panos is currently working on topics investigating the causal effects of minimum wage increases on health and well-being. He is also working on understanding which policies are effective in promoting the economic and social assimilation of immigrants.
