Biography

Dr Lili Loan Vu is a Research Fellow at the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre. Lili completed her PhD in Economics at the University of Western Australia. She also holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Technology Sydney.

Lili is an applied micro-econometrics researcher specialised in development economics and health economics. The focus of her research has been on understanding household-level socio-economic factors that can influence maternal and child health outcomes, gender and food security issues in South and Southeast Asia, particularly in India, Myanmar and Vietnam.

Lili is also interested in investigating the impacts of domestic violence on child health, cognitive and non-cognitive outcomes in Australia. She has published in highly ranking international journals such as the Journal of Development Studies and PLOS Medicine.
