Cath Hart
Biography
Cath Hart is an experienced business advocate with nearly two decades in advocacy, public policy and journalism.
Ms Hart commenced as Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia (REIWA) on 2 May 2022.
Prior to REIWA, Ms Hart was the Executive Director of the Housing Industry Association and also worked as Director of Advocacy for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia.
Ms Hart is passionate about Western Australia becoming the best place in the world to live and do business, and about the role of the private sector in creating jobs and opportunities for our communities.
Previously former-Premier Colin Barnett’s Director of Government Media, Ms Hart began her career as a journalist, working around the country with The Australian newspaper, covering business, federal and state politics and sport.
Ms Hart is Chair of the Housing Industry Forecast Group, a member of the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre Advisory Board and has recently been nominated as a REIWA representative on the WA Government’s Property Industry Advisory Committee.
The Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre team acknowledges the Wadjuk Nyungar people as the traditional owners of the land on which the Centre is situated.
