Project Summary

The Autism Academy for Software Quality Assurance (AASQA) runs a pilot strengths-based intervention program for adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This intervention is ensconced within an extra-curricular outreach and mentoring program that encourages adolescents with ASD to leverage their unique skills across the domains of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of this intervention program in improving intrinsic factors that predict success in transitioning to tertiary education and gaining skills that will enhance employment opportunities for adolescents with ASD.
