The Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre invites you to the launch of the next report in the Focus on Western Australia report series, Keeping a Roof Over Our Heads: BCEC Housing Affordability Report 2016.

This seventh report in the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre’s Focus on Western Australia series addresses the topic of housing affordability, a major economic and social issue facing West Australian households. It provides fresh insights into housing affordability in Western Australia by documenting changes in the state’s affordability trends since the release of the first housing affordability report in 2014.

The report explores data on housing costs and uses a survey of over 4,000 households to examine the real impact of housing affordability. Comparisons are made between WA and two other States, NSW and Queensland, and between metropolitan and regional areas. The report also explores housing affordability within key demographic groups and uses personal stories to illustrate the impact of housing costs on wellbeing.

Diverse and influential panellists will present at the report launch, including Senator Rachel Siewert; CEO of Anglicare, Ian Carter and Rachel Goostrey, CEO of Vertical Villages and Partnerships.
