The Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre invites you to the launch of the next report in the Focus on Industry report series, Power to the People: WA’s Energy Future.

This report looks at the future of energy in WA and asks how WA households and businesses are positioned to take advantage of technological advances in the energy sector. In doing so, we discuss the state of play in energy and where WA sits in comparison with the eastern states, analyse technological developments both locally and overseas, consider how our natural endowments affect our energy choices, and whether our productivity and innovation capabilities are ready to participate in the energy revolution.

The report highlights the key challenges, risks and policy issues requiring attention to ensure that WA’s energy system gets power to the people at the right time and right place, at acceptable prices, using technologies that will power us well into the future.

Tickets $59 per person, concessions apply. Ticket proceeds will go towards a new BCEC student scholarship.

Join Dr John Hewson, Professor at the Crawford School at ANU, Former Leader of the Liberal Party in Opposition and BCEC Professorial Fellow; Nicky Cusworth, Chair of the Economic Regulation Authority and David Martin, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Power Ledger in a panel discussion.
