The Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre invites you to the launch of the next report in the Focus on the States report series, Educate Australia Fair?: Education Inequality in Australia.

The report will provide a background overview on the importance of education to the economy and society and the role educational attainment plays in shaping the socio-economic outcomes of individual’s lives. An overview of the main institutional arrangements and policies governing education will be provided and comparisons between States on key indicators relating to educational attainment and access at different levels, for example, early childhood education, primary school, secondary school and tertiary, along with trends over time.

The focus will be on highlighting the role of education in promoting or reducing inequality in opportunity and inter-generational social mobility, and recommendations for policy and institutional reforms.

Tickets $59 per person, concessions apply. Ticket proceeds will go towards a new BCEC student scholarship.
